Dulux Study Tour Winners Announced

Now in its 10th year, the winners of the esteemed 2017 Dulux Study Tour have been announced. Five exceptional emerging architects have been chosen from a competitive field of 117 entrants to partake in the Australian Institute of Architects’ 10th annual Dulux Study Tour.

The winners will embark on a ten-day tour of Europe in May, featuring destinations such as Barcelona, London and Prague. Chairman Prof Ken Maher says the jury was deeply impressed with the depth of talent and accomplishments of all applicants, making the decision not an easy one. The five winning architects all demonstrated an enduring passion for the architectural profession, especially for teaching.

“We have all been inspired by the understanding that our future as a profession is in such good hands,” says Professor Mahar.

Being described as a “once in a lifetime opportunity” , the advantages of participating in the Dulux Study tour aims to translate back into the efficacy for the profession, as well as the community.

“We at Dulux extend our congratulations to this year’s Dulux Study Tour winners. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the tour. We are extremely proud to be associated with the program which has had such an impact within the architectural community. The emergence and excellence of previous winners – ‘the tour alumni’ – is testament to that,” says Dulux general manager – Trade, Richard Hansen.

The tour sees recipients engage in an array of architectural adventures, from visits to global architectural firms to tours of renowned buildings.  Ultimately, it aims to give the winners as much access and exposure to the top architectural practices, exploring the sights and sounds of Europe in the most interactive and exciting way possible.
