Four-month program by MPavilion

A vibrant hub for architecture, design and ideas, MPavilion is set to host a four-month public program of 118 free events from 7 October, 2014, until 1 February, 2015.

Commissioned by the Naomi Milgrom Foundation, MPavilion is nearing completion in Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Gardens and from its launch, will offer locals and visitors the chance to engage with a dynamic program of 20 talks, 28 workshops, 18 music events, 14 film screenings, seven walking and bike tours, four art interventions, two dance performances and much more.

Naomi Milgrom AO, chair of the Naomi Milgrom Foundation, says, “MPavilion will bring together architecture, design, art and performance under the one roof this spring and summer. We’re aiming to create a new meeting place and cultural hub for Melbourne, engaging people of all ages with our vibrant four-month program that has been created working with 135 collaborators from Australia and around the world.”

The MPavilion public program will have a number of event series presented throughout the spring/summer including MTalks, a series of discussions from leading thinkers; MMeets, a series of gatherings and activities; and MMusic, Sunday afternoon listening and picnic parties starring Melbourne DJs and musicians.

In addition, renowned landscape designer Paul Bangay, who designed the perennial borders surrounding MPavilion, will offer tours of his designs.
