Pastel Playfulness for the Bathroom from Curiousa

Curiousa founder Esther Patterson has transformed everyday bathroom lighting into an expression of colour, texture and joy with her Pastello wall light collection.

Designed to make daily rituals more engaging, the range balances playful form with practical performance.

Pastello offers a variety of wall lights, from layered plate designs to sculptural forms that hang like beads, all in delicate pastel shades. Patterson highlights the “unpredictable magic” of the natural pigments and materials, which reveal unique depths when the lights are switched on. Many designs combine slip-cast ceramic and free-blown glass, producing a tactile, visually dynamic effect that elevates any bathroom interior.

Handmade in the UK, the lights are designed for wet spaces with IP ratings from 44 to 65. Available in sizes up to 270 millimetres, the collection suits a wide range of bathroom layouts, from compact powder rooms to larger ensuites.

With Pastello, lighting becomes more than functional. Each piece acts as a design statement, adding charm, warmth and personality to the space. The collection highlights the potential of colour and material in bathroom design, offering interiors a touch of joy that transforms ordinary routines into moments of delight.
