A celebration of colour

Continuing their reputation for working with the best artists and designers in the industry, Designer Rugs have joined up with fashion designer Camilla Franks to create a signature range of CAMILLA rugs.

CAMILLA for Designer Rugs transforms Camilla’s signature colourful handmade graphic prints and eclectic designs into beautiful, handmade rugs.

Camilla Franks has been a staple in the Australian fashion industry since the launch of her eponymous label in 2003, with her bold and bright kaftans becoming her signature piece. She is now expanding her brand into home wares and so partnering with Designer Rugs seems to be a natural fit.

“For me, CAMILLA has always been a lifestyle brand. After many years developing and perfecting my fashion line, I wanted to expand on CAMILLA World,” explains Camilla. “I launched cushions and candles with my Gypset collection, and expanding into home wares is something I have been very excited to do. It has been a huge process, but I am so thrilled to now be partnering with Designer Rugs and launching my rug collection.”

The designs draw from Camilla’s experiences in exotic destinations like Marrakech, Japan and Formentera. Each of the rugs has been designed with influence from Camilla’s 2012 Gypset collection. Camilla was inspired by cultural icons like Jade Jagger and Talitha Getty, as well as the artwork of Frieda Kahlo. This means a stunning collection of six rugs, all featuring elaborate detailing and Camilla’s signature bold palette.

Each Camilla rug is hand-made to a standard size of 200x300cm, but can also be custom ordered through Designer Rugs to suit any interior space.

Available exclusively from Designer Rugs from May, CAMILLA for Designer Rugs really are a beautiful investment for any environment.
