Idea Interior Design Excellence Awards
IDEA is Australia’s leading Design Award program and draws hundreds of submissions every year. The awards not only recognise the most prestigious architecture and design firms from across the country but also local up-and-coming designers.
From the first of August, all design practices shortlisted for the Interior Design Excellence Awards have the opportunity to exhibit their work over a two-day judging period held in Sydney.
Within the 11 design categories, the five significant awards include Overall Winner, Designer of the Year, Emerging Designer, Sustainability Award and the IDEA Gold Medal.
Entries are judged by a jury of experienced designers who will assess the ‘look and feel’ of each design, how the space has been used, its light and structure, the selection of fittings and furnishings and how the different elements of the design come together.
Winners will be announced in November at the IDEA Gala party.
