KBDi Designer Awards 2014 – Design Space Award – Entries Still Open!

Have you designed a domestic or commercial space (other than a domestic internal kitchen or bathroom) that demonstrates creativity and ingenuity in meeting your Client’s brief?

If so, why not show off your design in the increasingly popular category of “Design Space Award” in the KBDi Designer Awards 2014 program.

The winner of last year’s Australian Design Space award impressed the judges with the remarkable design solution she developed for the Expo-Display-come-Showroom of a long established Sydney kitchen manufacturer.  The clients of the winning designer, KBDi member Gloria Rose, had specific marketing objectives, and needed to appeal to both the traditional and contemporary desires of their target market.  The display space was limited – 8 metres by 3 metres overall – and the future relocation of the cabinetry to the Client’s showroom had to be considered.

This talented designer certainly rose to the challenge; Gloria’s design had more than a touch of class, and the two neighbouring kitchens shared just enough design elements to sit alongside each other without unease.  Visitors to the Grand Designs expo were clearly impressed, as was Gloria’s client, with a successful sign up rate for their time and effort, and the KBDi judging panel were pleased to award Gloria with the top prize.

Will you be the winner of this year’s Design Space Award?  Better get your entry underway; entries close at 23.59pm on 16 June, 2014.
