“With their home located on the edge of the Bellarine Peninsula, the owners wanted a design that would reflect the surrounding coastal environment and exploit the stunning ocean views. The floor and cabinets are produced from different timber varieties, while Calacatta stone is used in the benchtops and splashback. The combination of these natural finishes along with the fresh colour palette of white and touches of blue evokes a relaxed, seaside feel. Large sliding glass doors and windows allow plenty of sunlight to stream into the space and expose views of the magnificent coastline. The island is also a prominent feature in this kitchen because of its distinctive structural shape.”
