The Art of Combining Light and Texture with Staron®

Mario Romano Walls® is a design application that transforms Staron® Solid Surfaces into sculptural, three-dimensional works of art. More than a solution for fully backlit wall designs, it offers the freedom to introduce texture exactly where you want it making it possible to highlight a focal point, define a zone, or add tactile interest to an otherwise smooth surface.

Each design is intricately carved into Staron®, allowing patterns and forms to emerge with subtle depth and seamless precision. Imagine soft petals cascading across a wall, their gentle contours illuminated from behind while the surrounding surface remains opaque achieving a captivating play of light and texture made possible by Mario Romano Walls®.

The design possibilities are endless. With Staron® you can create striking feature walls, add impact across expansive areas, or enhance ambience through integrated LED technology that brings each carved form to life with colour and light.

This distinctive design approach exemplifies Mario Romano Walls’® ability to craft organic three-dimensional patterns across both small and large-scale installations. Artfully customised, the panels connect with seams inconspicuous within the organic detail to form a harmonious, non-repeating flow, adaptable to each project’s unique requirements. Their design team can further integrate additional elements such as lighting or power point requirements, ensuring every outcome is a bespoke solution tailored to the client.

Using Staron® Solid Surfaces as the foundation, Mario Romano Walls® designs are intricately routed into any colour from the Staron® range. Staron’s® flexibility also allows panels to be curved, extending the design possibilities even further.

Staron® Solid Surfaces are Group 1 Fire rated to AS5637.1 (AUS) & Group 1S Fire rated to C/VM2 (NZ) and has been tested in Melbourne, using the AS ISO 9705 full-scale room test, extending its suitability to areas requiring exceptional fire certification.
